LOS ANGELES, CA., Aug. 19 (TOTI) –

A faux sex scandal tape of Eric Dane is the newest net sensation for cyber-voyeurs who are hoping to catch a glimpse of steamy action between Dane, his wife Rebecca Gayheart, and former beauty queen Kari Ann Peniche.

Dane’s lawyers were quick to point out that the tape contained no sex.

“Although the participants are nude, the tape is not a ’sex tape.’ It is a private tape made for only my clients’ personal use, and nobody has the right to exploit it. If anyone exploits the tape, they will be violating my clients’ rights and will be exposed to significant liability,” said Attorney Marty Singer.

The threat of legal action has made finding the video difficult as many sites now have 404 pages where the video was once purported to exist.

Rumors about Robert Pattinson being dead are a hot topic today, but like so many other internet death hoaxes, RPattz is alive, well and filming Eclipse, the third installation in the Twilight saga in Vancouver, Canada.

The concern about Robert Pattinson’s death are likely tied to speculation that his character, Edward Cullen, gets killed off in Eclipse, but it’s hard to believe that a vampire that “sparkles” in the daylight will take getting killed lightly.

In this chapter of the blockbuster vampire saga, Bella Swan (played by Kristin Stewart) will once again be confronted with making a choice between Edward Cullen and Jacob Black, played by Taylor Lautner.

LOS ANGELES, Ca., Aug 6 (TOTI) –

“Love in an elevator,” sang Steven Tyler. “Living it up as I’m going down.” Truer words have rarely been spoken as the next thing that happened ended with Tyler falling from the stage.

Aerosmith was performing at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota when Tyler decided to entertain the audience with a bit of dancing during the band’s famous “Love in an Elevator” song.

The performance drew a record crowd at the Buffalo Chip Campground venue, where the concert was held.

Luckily for Tyler, he only suffered minor head and neck injuries and a shoulder injury.

Witnesses to his fall said he was good natured about the mishap.

NEW YORK, Aug. 5 (UPI) –

A New York set designer is suing the TLC television network for $50,000 in alleged unpaid wages and expenses for the show What Not to Wear.

Michael Myers filed the lawsuit in Brooklyn Supreme Court last week, the New York Post reported.

Myers claims the makeover show’s managers paid production designer, Michael Venedicto, in cash to build the set. The lawsuit claims Venedicto did not compensate Myers as promised, the newspaper said.

NASHVILLE, July 27 (UPI) –

Nashville star Trace Adkins is the model for a new comic book character due to be published this fall, the publisher said.

Adkins, platinum-selling singer of such hits as You’re Gonna Miss This and Ladies Love Country Boys, will be featured as a fictional character when 12 Gauge Comics issues Luke McBain Nov. 12.

The four-issue series will tell the story of a man who serves 14 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit and returns to his home in Louisisna to find he alone has the courage to fight the greed and corruption that has overtaken the town.

Writer David Tischman said the character is drawn to look like the 6-foot-6 Adkins, and even reflects some of the singer-songwriter’s philosophy.

The McBain character became kind of a reflection of Trace Adkins’ entertainment persona, Tischman said.

Former Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney, made his first appearance on the David Letterman show last night.

Paul McCartney returned to the Ed Sullivan theater 45 years after he and his bandmates first performed there in 1964.

Paul McCartney wasn’t shy and admitted that ‘he didn’t like the show’ and discussed the band and his his feelings about performing live at the young age of 22.

GUILDFORD, England, July 2 (UPI) –

British actress Mollie Sugden, best known at Mrs. Slocombe in the TV sitcom Are You Being Served?, has died after a long illness, her agent said. She was 86.

Agent Joan Reddin told the BBC Sugden’s twin sons Robin and Simon Moore were at her bedside when she died Wednesday at Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford.

Sugden played Mrs. Slocombe on Are You Being Served? from 1972 to 1985.

She would never refuse any sort of comedy situation, David Croft, a writer for the show, told the BBC. No matter how undignified it was, she would always go along with it. She was marvelously funny.

Sugden was married to fellow actor William Moore, who died nine years ago.

LOS ANGELES, June 30 (UPI) –

Los Angeles’ top school official says he is infuriated by published photos of Bruno star Sacha Baron Cohen doing drills with a high school football team.

The photos, part of a cover story for GQ, show the actor wearing only shoulder pads, tight red shorts, an athletic supporter and socks while doing drills with the Birmingham High football team.

I hold the principal and the athletic director accountable, and I have asked the local district superintendent to take appropriate action, Los Angeles Unified School District Superintendent Ramon Cortines told the Daily News of Los Angeles.

School district officials told the News Principal Marsha Coates and Athletic Director Richard Prizant knew about the photo shoot. Coates declined comment, and Prizant could not be reached, the newspaper said.

Jean Brown, the local district superintendent for the West San Fernando Valley, told the News she was talking with Birmingham officials.
