Demi Lovato Speaks About Divorce
LOS ANGELES, Ca., Jul. 3 (TOTI) –
Demi Lovato has it all now. She’s a famous actress and singer and is well known everywhere she goes. But life wasn’t always so easy for her. When she was growing up, she watched her parent’s marriage end in divorce, which is never easy for any child.
She touches on the painful memory in her newest song For the Love of a Daughter, which she co-wrote with Bill Beckett from The Academy.
“It’s a really emotional song for me,” Demi told J-14. “My parents got a divorce and it was difficult.”
Demi and her older sister, Dallas, were raised by a single mother after the divorce, up until her mother go re-married.
“It was rough growing up for a while without a dad,” she recalls. “But my stepdad is my father to me. He’s amazing.”
