without comments

LOS ANGELES, Ca., Feb.27 (TOTI) –

A loving relationship with Samantha Ronson just isn’t enough to keep Lindsay Lohan happy these days.

The red haired celebrity is once again interested in men, Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford, 23, in particular. A source told In Touch, “Lindsay thinks Chace is so hot. Every time she’s in New York, Chace will literally get 50 texts from her, asking him to
hang out.”

Her girlfriend and sparring partner, Samantha Ronson hasn’t quite captured the heart of the wild child. In a December 2008 interview with
Harper’s Bazaar magazine, Lohan confirmed that she was involved with Ronson, but wouldn’t concede that she was a lesbian, instead saying that she “maybe” bi-sexual.

In other words, Lohan never really gave up boys because of her relationship with Samantha and Ch…

Miley Cyrus has seen the devastation caused by the caustic wits who engage in gossip. She doesn’t plan on involving herself in such an activity. The 16 year old says that’s not the type of person she wants to be.

“I’m never going to start any rumors,” she told M. “Because once you do, the just go on and on forever.”

Miley is no strange to scandal, even the type that lingers on the internet long after any attempts to clean it up are made.

She thinks gossip is bad because it hurts people and the rumors keep on lingering.

“Because once you do…” she said. “They just go on and on forever. I’ve grown into a person who’s very open with my real feelings and will tell it like it is – not lies!”

Citigroup Stock – Look Out Below!

without comments

NEW YORK CITY, Ny., Feb. 27 (TOTI) –

That flushing sound you hear is the sound of billions of dollars of shareholder value going up in smoke as Citigroup announces details of their third bailout from the US government.

News has not been good for C. The company announced a $9.6 billion charge for the fourth quarter which effectively doubles their loss for 2008. Now details are emerging that the Treasury Department plans on converting preferred shares into common stock, which will give them at least a 36% stake in America’s largest financial institution.

Citgroup common stock has been fluctuating wildly in recent days on speculation about nationalization. The US government has given Citigroup $45 billion in TARP funds, but it looks like the gravy train has screeched to a halt. There was no mention of any new money for C in the latest d…

Jonas Brothers Talk About Love

without comments

LOS ANGELES, Ca., Feb. 26 (TOTI) –

The Jonas Brothers are already famous for their music. Now the band is asserting their expertise in the field of love. Recently M talked to the Jobros about a subject near and dear to the hearts of their female fans.

The Jonas Brothers realize that females can be a confusing lot.

“It drives us crazy when girls always say ‘Oh, I’m so overweight!’ or when they don’t eat around us because they’re too embarrassed,” said Joe Jonas, 19. “That really bug us. We like girls who believe they are beautiful – because they are! Girls should be confident in themselves.”

The Jonas Brothers are known throughout the world for their sense of fashion. Obviously they must be into girls who are into fashion, then.

“We really love when girls wear the ‘leggings under the skirt’ look …

Thousands support Sharif at rallies

without comments

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Feb. 27 (UPI) –

Thousands of people demonstrated Thursday in Pakistan against a ban on Nawaz Sharif, leader of the main opposition party, running for office.

Sharif, head of the Muslim League, addressed a rally in Sheikhpura, telling the crowd they represent a verdict against government rule, Dawn reported.

President Asif Ali Zardari has deceived the nation and did not honor his commitments, he said. I swear to God that I have not come here to talk about the Supreme Court verdict but I instead want to talk to you about Pakistan’s future. Pakistan is heading towards disaster, unless you take steps to save it.

Sharif said the judges who forced former President Pervez Musharraf to give up his military title must be returned to the bench.

In rallies, marchers burned pictures of Zardari, who was married to the assassinated former leader of Pakistan, Benazir Bhutto.

India: Mumbai attackers called Pak officer

without comments

NEW DELHI, Feb. 27 (UPI) –

The men who attacked Mumbai in November made telephone calls to a Pakistani Army colonel, prosecutors say.

In the charge sheet for the one alleged terrorist who survived the standoff that followed the attack, the officer is identified as Col. R. Sadatullah, assigned to the SCO, The Times of India reports. The newspaper describes the SCO as a government telecommunications agency operated by the Army in Kashmir and the Northwest Frontier region.

Investigators say the terrorists made almost 300 telephone calls from Mumbai to Pakistan during the siege, getting detailed instructions from handlers there.

The charge sheet, which runs 11,509 pages, identifies 38 suspects. Only three are being held, the alleged terrorist and two Indians charged with aiding the group.

Others on the list include members of Lashkar-e-Toiba, an Islamist group based in Kashmir.

The attacks — aimed at two upscale hotels, the Taj Mahal and Oberoi Trident, a Jewish …

STANFORD, Calif., Feb. 27 (UPI) –

Alfred Aboya made two free throws with 13 seconds to play Thursday that wrapped up No. 19 UCLA’s tougher-than-expected 76-71 win over Stanford.

Stanford is in next-to-last place in the Pacific-10 Conference and has lost five of its last six, but the Cardinal carried the Bruins to the wire.

Josh Shipp led UCLA (21-7, 10-5 Pac-10) with 24 points, hitting 9-of-12 shots from the field. Aboya had 18.

Over the past two weekends, UCLA had fallen victim to Arizona, Arizona State and Washington State.
